The International Examiner (IE) held its 24th Annual Community Voice Awards & 42nd Annual Benefit Dinner on September 22, 2016 at the Joyale Seafood Restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown-International District. Community leaders and members gathered together to celebrate the achievements of local Asian Pacific Americans including awardees: 

• Asia Pacific Cultural Center for Excellence in Arts
• Jamie Lee, IDEA Space Manager at SCIDpda, for Excellence in Community Service
• Jasmit Singh, Founder of The Sikh Coalition, for Excellence in Social Justice
• UW - Department of American Ethnic Studies Professors Emeriti Gail Nomura, Steve Sumida, Tetsuden Kashima with the Lifetime Achievement Award
• Jill Mangaliman, Executive Director of Got Green, with the Tatsuo Nakata Youth Award
• Viet Wah Group with the Community Business Award
